EU Council Approves €13.25 Million Aid Package for Jordanian Armed Forces

On November 25, the European Union Council approved a €13.25 million aid package under the European Peace Facility (EPF) for Jordan’s armed forces.

According to the EU Council, this initiative aims to enhance the Jordanian military’s capabilities amid growing regional instability. The aid will strengthen Jordan’s ability to maintain national security, ensure stability, and protect civilians. Specifically, it will provide detection and countermeasure systems, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment, as well as mobility and engineering tools for Jordan’s northern and eastern military commands.

The EU Council highlighted that Jordan is a key partner for the EU and its member states, playing a crucial role in maintaining stability in the Middle East.
