Xiaomi’s Most Popular Budget “Ace” Becomes Even More Affordable

The November AnTuTu Cost-Performance Rankings for smartphones priced between 1000–1999 Yuan features mostly phones released earlier this year. Leading the list is Redmi Turbo 3, a lightweight, high-performance phone from Xiaomi.

Despite being the first phone in Xiaomi’s Turbo series, it initially faced tough competition due to the emergence of silicon-carbon anode batteries, which offer higher energy density and longer life spans. While the 5000mAh battery in the Redmi Turbo 3 was decent, rivals like the Realme GT Neo6 (5500mAh) and iQOO Z9 Turbo (6000mAh) offered larger capacities.

Fortunately, Xiaomi acted quickly by significantly reducing the price of the Redmi Turbo 3, making it one of the best value-for-money options at 1469 Yuan.

Features of Redmi Turbo 3

Battery & Charging

Although it has a smaller battery compared to competitors, its 5000mAh capacity still delivers impressive performance:

Video playback: 13 hours

Social media browsing: 14 hours

Charging is incredibly fast with its 90W wired fast charging, which fully charges the phone in just 34 minutes.

Performance

The Redmi Turbo 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a cost-efficient alternative to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It offers:

•Official benchmark score: 1.75 million+

User-tested scores: ~1.44 million, only slightly behind Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s 1.5 million+.

To ensure maximum performance, the phone is equipped with:

4800mm² stainless steel VC cooling plate.

Ice Pump technology for 3x improved heat dissipation.

Xiaomi’s Game Engine 3.0 for smooth gaming.

This makes the Redmi Turbo 3 a powerful option for gamers at a fraction of the price.

Display

The Redmi Turbo 3 features a 6.67-inch OLED flat screen with:

•1.5K resolution

•Peak brightness of 2400 nits

120Hz refresh rate

•Hardware-based low-blue light mode, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and DC-like dimming for eye comfort.

Camera

The phone includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 (IMX882) main camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Key features:

•1/1.95-inch sensor size

•f/1.59 aperture

•OIS + EIS dual stabilization

This camera setup is comparable to rivals like the iQOO Z9 Turbo, Realme GT Neo6, and OnePlus Ace 3V, all within the same price range.

Build & Extras

Plastic frame and back panel

•Lightweight at 179g

•Thin profile at 7.8mm

•Additional features: IR remote, NFC, dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, IP64 dust and water resistance.

At its original price of 1999 Yuan, the Redmi Turbo 3 was a tough sell against competitors with larger batteries and similar specs. But after a price drop to($202)1469 Yuan, it’s now considered one of the most popular budget-friendly smartphones.

If you’re looking for high performance, fast charging, and a lightweight design at a wallet-friendly price, the Redmi Turbo 3 is hard to beat.
